Nominator's project description

Professor Mohapatra is an internationally acknowledged expert in theoretical particle physics who made important contributions to the field of elementary particle physics. He is especially known for his research concerning theories of neutrino masses in the context of grand unified theories and for the implications of such theories for astro-particle physics and cosmology. During his visit, Professor Mohapatra will study in collaboration with his hosts (Prof. Manfred Lindner, Technical University Munich and Prof. Manfred Fritzsch, University Munich) how the latest experimental findings of neutrino properties can be theoretically accommodated.
